The Senior Network Engineer should have a proven project delivery history, as well as consulting or Enterprise-Level systems experience in Microsoft systems.
Essential job functions
Provide third level support and fulfill role of Team Supervisor in Network Operations Center (NOC).
Will be escalation point when high severity level issues occur
Part of on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Assist upper management in the validation of processes and procedures for the NOC.A
General requirements
Senior Network Engineer must demonstrate excellent technical knowledge with a minimum of 3 years of IT support experience and be proficient in the following skill sets:
Windows Active Directory (multi-site preferred)
MS Exchange 2000/2003
MS SQL Server 2000/2005
TCP/IP: LAN/WAN technologies, Layer 2/3 switching and routing and VPN technologies (PPTP,IPSEC, IPSEC/GRE)
Windows server management protocols and network level management protocols
Familiarity with MS Communities a plus
MS premiere certification (MCSA, MCSE) or Cisco certification (CCNA or higher) required.
Great communication skills – written and verbal
