The NOC Engineer provides technical support in the 24/7/365 Network Operations Center (NOC) on a scheduled basis. MobileNetics’s approach to technical support consists of round-the-clock remote technical support of clients’ computer/server and network infrastructures, proactive monitoring and completion of complex technical assignments as required.
Essential job functions
A NOC Engineer must demonstrate excellent technical knowledge with a minimum of 1 year of IT support experience and be proficient in the following skill sets:
Windows 2003 Active Directory
Exchange 2003
ISA
SMS 2.0
Cisco router and PIX firewall operations in an enterprise of various WAN scenarios such as a frame, point-to-point and secure VPN over the internet.
Thin client technology such as Citrix and Terminal Services
Use of network management software (HP Open View, Cisco Works, Microsoft MOM and SMS)
Must be available to work a varied shift schedule
Perform network trouble-shooting to diagnose and isolate complex network problems
Must be able to multi-task, have outstanding analytical abilities, and work in a fast paced environment.
Project management methodology and change management.
Be highly motivated
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
